Leadership Coaching

What it is

Imagine a relationship entirely focussed on you, your leadership growth objectives, and the inevitable challenges getting in the way.  Leadership coaching improves performance as it is the vehicle to changing results.  To change results, one must change the thinking in the sub-conscious part of the mind.  You must make changes to your belief system, or there will be no change in behaviour.   I can help you with that.

Coaching is a personalised, results-focused process that strengthens your ability to lead with clarity, confidence, and impact. Whether you’re navigating complex challenges, stepping into a new leadership role, or wanting to refine your vision, coaching creates space for reflection, strategy, and growth.

Why I’m qualified

With over 50 years in education and leadership—both nationally and internationally—I have guided leaders through diverse contexts, from schools to corporate teams. My years of experience in teams of humans, organisational systems, and leadership principles ensures you receive both insight and practical strategies.

After searching for a coaching qualification that I felt satisfied would set me up as an expert coach to coach people through their lives, I trained in the Simpson Method of Transformational Coaching and became accredited with the Elite Influence Coaching Accreditation from the Conscious Coaching Academy in the UK.   This qualification took me two years to master, however, from the knowledge, skills and deep understanding I gained, I am well-equipped to coach others in their lives and journeys.

My work to date

I have coached principals, senior leadership teams and business owners, helping them develop strong leadership identities, enhance their team’s culture, stay on track to drive towards their mission and vision, making strategic decisions with confidence knowing they are on the right track.

Planning our package

We’ll begin by defining your leadership goals and identifying your current strengths and growth areas. Together, we’ll design a coaching plan tailored to your context.

What are your leadership goals

  • Drive strategic school improvement?
  • To lead with confidence?
  • To improve the culture and effectiveness in your team/s?
  • To build confidence and clarity in your communication skills?
  • To strengthen your instructional leadership skills?
  • To build towards your next leadership position?

I recommend you begin with a DiSC Leadership Analysis that will reveal how you approach work, communicate and solve problems.  It will highlight your leadership strengths and also give suggestions as to how to communicate effectively with others in your teams who display leadership profiles in contrast to yours.  Understanding your style, and those of your team, helps build stronger relationships, improve collaboration, and enhance performance.

Reflections from Leadership Coaching

What were your most helpful learnings from the coaching sessions?
This was an incredibly helpful experience in developing my confidence and my self-awareness.  I often struggle with imposter syndrome, especially as a relatively young woman in a leadership role, and I think this really helped me see and embrace my strengths.

How have you used your knowledge about your leadership style and gifts since our sessions?
It really helps me when preparing for challenging conversations. I ask myself what I think the person is, and I try to prepare accordingly.
Knowing myself and knowing my team-mates has helped us to work together more harmoniously. I now appreciate ………’s attention to detail as a strength. I see that ……. is a visionary leader but she needs the S and C people around her to make things happen.

During what process have you considered the leadership style of someone you are communicating with, and adjusted your communication behaviour?
I am trying to be more direct and concise with …….., especially in email communication.  With ……… I’m trying to communicate more in person and to be really positive and supportive and to remind her that she’s doing a fantastic job in a really difficult time.
